The Lighthouse

A minimal night sea whose waves are rows of your live numbers. A lighthouse, lit by the Acme mark, sweeps a soft beam across them; wherever it passes, hidden rocks show. The release boat turns back in time, and the keeper in the harbour, a human, makes the call.

1 · HOOK0:00–0:08

The camera drifts slowly right over rows of numbers rolling on offset sines; the lighthouse stands dark. On the last downbeat a small release boat grinds onto a coral-edged rock and "found Fri 17:40" fades up.

2 · REVEAL0:08 (drop)

On the drop the lamp room ignites (the Acme mark with a soft bloom) and the beam swings out left to right. "Acme Pulse" is revealed inside the beam's mask as it passes, then stays.

3 · PROOF MOMENT0:12–0:32

The beam sweeps ±40° (4 s, sine.inOut); numbers brighten only inside its mask and rocks stay as outlines once lit. On bar 3 the coral rock surfaces ahead of release #2231, the label drops in, and on the downbeat the keeper taps "Roll back" and the boat's teal path curls away.

4 · CTA0:36–0:45

The beam settles into a slow right-to-left pass behind the type; the sea calms to a gentle drift. The tagline lands on the downbeat; harbour lights blink on one per beat and the coral button fades up on the final bar.

COMPONENT KIT

Lighthouse — white tower with teal bands; the Acme mark is the lamp.
Volumetric beam — gradient polygon (plus blur and screen blend in build) that doubles as a reveal mask.
Number waves — rows of live metrics on phase-shifted sine paths (SVG textPath).
Rocks — hidden anomalies; coral outline and label once lit, teal once cleared.
Release boat — the deploy heading for trouble; a teal dashed path shows it turning back.

MOTION · MUSIC

Beam sweep — rotation yoyo ±40° over 4 s (two bars at 120 BPM), sine.inOut; the far edge crosses centre on each bar line.
Mask reveal — numbers and rocks exist only inside the beam's clip; rocks keep a 40% outline after it passes.
Wave drift — per-row startOffset drift, 8 s loop, rows offset by a quarter phase; the only motion in the quiet hook.

WHY / RISK · ADAPT IT

A lighthouse is the oldest symbol of quiet, always-on watching, and the beam-as-mask makes "we see what you can't" literal. Risk: lonely night imagery can suggest a machine running unattended; always show the keeper in the harbour.

Adapt to your product: Fill the sea with your own numbers (orders, jobs, balances) and name the rock after the risk your product catches; the boat is whatever you ship.
